about me
as a teen, i volunteered for several years with teenage mothers who had been abused & pregnant, doing their absolute best taking care of their new babies. as a survivor myself, that experience developed within me a love for working with children & mothers alike
once in college, i began to pursue a different path & after over a decade of working in public relations & event planning in new york city, i lost my job at 39 weeks pregnant, which recalled my work with those young mothers & the challenges new mothers face
with my own doula, i began to understand the lack of information & encouragement that was being provided to families expecting children, struggling with infertility &/or postpartum issues
this encouraged me to redirect my professional goals toward support for new moms & families during the transition to life with a new baby & beyond
now, as a mama of three, a DONA International trained postpartum & birth doula & a CEA/MNY certified cooperative childbirth educator, i am thrilled to provide this support to all kinds of families in the ways that work best for them
my passion is helping to empower families in their birth experience & on their journey to & through new parenthood
i have experience in working with pregnant teens, mothers & families from many different backgrounds & various cultures, LGBTQ parents, as well as experienced families with older siblings who need help adjusting to a new baby in the home
i speak english & russian fluently
